New Puppy Packages
Bringing a new puppy home is fun, and it’s easy to fall in love with your cute, new family member. However, puppies require planning and care, so we’re here to help.
Wellness visit, exams, and vaccinations
For a one-time fee of $99, The Pet Hospitals will cover all core vaccines (includes Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Lepto) and routine deworming. For an additional $50.40 (initial 2 shot series), we will also vaccinate your new puppy with the dual strain Canine Influenza vaccination (aka dog flu). This vaccine is necessary for dog parks, boarding, grooming, or anywhere your puppy could come in contact with other dogs. Even the youngest pets can carry diseases and parasites, so we want to keep your new friend safe and healthy at an affordable price.
Low cost, high-quality neuter & spay packages
Spaying and neutering is important to your pet’s health and well-being. That’s why we created a package that offers low cost spay and neuter services that won’t compromise the health and safety of your pet.
Annual exams are important to improve the quality of life for your furry family member. They help us catch developing problems before they become large problems and health concerns. As an added service, you may drop your pet off with us for their annual exam free of charge. We’ll take care of them until it’s convenient for you to come by and pick them up!
They know what they want. We know what they need.
Our discounted exam, vaccination, and heartworm treatment packages for adult dogs are affordably priced but high in quality and include:
- Complete physical exam
- Dental assessment
- Internal parasite testing
- Heartworm tests
- All necessary vaccinations
- Free nail trim
We are also happy to vaccinate your pet with the dual strain Canine Influenza (dog flu) vaccination for an additional $50.40 total for the two shot initial series. Then the annual booster is $25.20. This vaccine is necessary for dog parks, boarding, grooming, or anywhere your pet could come in contact with other dogs.
Need a pet translator? We’re here to help.
For the safety of our patients, we require a physical exam before administering any vaccinations. We will also keep your medical records on file and online so no one has to guess when it comes to giving your pet the care it needs.
Pets need dental care too. Unlike us, they can’t brush their teeth, so we’re here to help them prevent plaque buildup, tooth decay, and gum disease. We’ll personally assess your pet’s needs during their exam because there is no one size fits all schedule, and we don’t want to perform dental care on your pet unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Happy mouth. Happy pet.
At The Pet Hospitals, dental care includes the following at a reasonable price:
- General anesthesia so we can thoroughly examine tooth and gum health
- Full-mouth radiographs (grade 2 or higher), which is now the standard of care in veterinary dentistry
- Professional cleaning to remove tartar and plaque
- Tooth polish to remove bacteria buildups
- Sealant to protect teeth from future decay
At Home Dental Care
Don’t worry, you don’t have to start brushing your pet’s teeth every day, but we do recommend dental chew toys and treats to prevent plaque buildup. It may even result in fresher breath!
If your pet is experiencing hair loss, itching/scratching, chewing and licking its paws, or other dermatological issues that appear to be an allergic reaction or symptoms related to ongoing allergies, The Pet Hospitals can help. Simply bring your pet in for testing so we can determine what the issue is and provide relief.
Dog allergy testing
At The Pet Hospitals, allergy testing includes the following at a reasonable price:
- Comprehensive physical exam
- Food allergy elimination diets
- Allergy testing with desensitization protocols
Relief is in sight.
Once the source of your pet’s allergy and dermatological issue is determined, we will create a treatment plan that is tailored to meet their needs. Please note that proper care of your pet’s skin and coat are important to dermatological health too, so regular grooming is a must.
Behavior training can be a challenge, but it’s important to develop guidelines and boundaries with your pet in order to develop a positive, trusting, cooperative relationship.
Sit. Stay. Heel.
Dogs feel more comfortable in packs similar to human families. Ongoing training helps your pet learn to listen, understand your directions, trust you as a leader, and respect you. We are happy to discuss the following and more with you during your pet’s next wellness exam:
- Excessive barking or vocalizing
- Biting or aggressive behaviors
- Potty training
We also offer Socialization Sessions at our Collierville, Downtown, and Midtown locations during Doggie Daycare hours! Doggie Daycare is a safe place for your dog to play and socialize and is a great value at $11.00/day. See our Daycare page for more information.
Is it a medical or a training issue?
Some behaviors are symptoms of a developing medical condition that may require a physical exam. For example, a dog that is suddenly aggressive may have an abscessed tooth or pain from an unseen injury, or sudden potty training issues may be the result of a bladder problem or a urinary tract infection. At The Pet Hospitals, we are here to assess your concerns and get to the source of the problem.
